Social Media Executive Facebook group research

If you are good at English, comfortable on Facebook, and can handle a computer without someone standing over your shoulder, this job is for you.

You do not need experience. Everything in this role runs on a written process that we will train you on. What we cannot train is how quickly you pick things up, so that is what we are actually hiring for.

EpicDigital sells printed apparel to specific interest communities. Before anything gets sold, somebody has to find those communities and get in. That is this job. It is research work, not posting work, and you will spend your day between Facebook search and a spreadsheet.

What the day looks like

• Search Facebook for groups matching a written audience brief, for example dog owners, nurses, or guitar players
• Check each group for size, posting activity, and what its rules do and do not allow
• Request to join, and answer the admin’s screening questions in clear English
• Log every group in a shared tracker with its size, activity, and rules
• Flag which niches have strong groups and which are empty, so nobody wastes another week on dead ground

What you need

• English good enough to read a group’s rules and write a clear paragraph in reply
• Able to operate a computer confidently. Browser, spreadsheet, switching between accounts without losing track.
• Care with detail. This job rewards accuracy far more than speed.
• The ability to learn a process once and then follow it exactly

What you do not need

• Any prior job experience. Freshers are welcome, and most of these seats will go to freshers.
• Design skill, marketing background, or a portfolio
• Your own laptop. We provide the workstation.

On degrees

We do not ask for certificates and we do not look at results. Plenty of people who finished top of the class cannot work carefully, and plenty who never got to finish can. The written task tells us in half an hour what a transcript never would, so that is what we go on.

How we train you

Your first week is our written process, sat with someone already doing the job. You will not be left to guess. After that the work is the same shape every day, and the people who do well here are the ones who get faster at it rather than the ones who arrived knowing more.

About your cover letter

This is the writing test, so write it yourself in English. Tell us about one time you had to work something out online with nobody giving you instructions. What you were looking for, and how you got there. A short honest paragraph beats a long formal one.

Compensation

BDT 13,000 – 19,000 / month

Most people start near the bottom of this range. Moving up it is about accuracy and pace, both of which show in the tracker from your first week, and the top is for someone running a niche end to end without being checked.

Every role starts with a three-month probation period.
