Graphics Designer T-shirt artwork in Illustrator

EpicDigital is a content production studio in Mirpur DOHS, Dhaka. We sell printed apparel online, and this role makes the artwork that goes on it.

This is the one role here where we need the skill before you arrive. Our template, our file standards, and the checks a file has to pass before it ships we will train you on, so that what you hand over goes straight through instead of coming back. That takes a few days rather than a few months, and you are on salary throughout. The Illustrator ability you have to bring.

We will be straight about the work. It is a production role. The creative direction and the layout are already decided, and the job is executing briefs quickly and correctly rather than inventing a new concept each time. You will build the same kinds of files again and again, and getting faster at them is the point.

If you enjoy getting a lot of good work out the door, you will like this. If you want to spend three days on one logo, you will not.

What the day looks like

• Build t-shirt artwork in Illustrator from a text brief or a rough reference
• Work inside our fixed template for layout, type, and colour
• Vectorize raster references cleanly, with no stray points or open paths left behind
• Hand over print-ready files that pass checks the first time
• Hit a daily output target, agreed with you in the interview rather than handed down

What you need

• Working Illustrator skill: pen tool, type handling, expand and outline, path cleanup
• A portfolio with real production work in it. Typography t-shirts count for more here than logo concepts.
• English good enough to read an audience brief and understand what a phrase means before you set it in type
• Speed, and honesty about it

What you do not need

• Years of experience. If your portfolio is strong we do not care how long you have been working.
• Original concept work or a personal style. We are not asking you to art direct.
• Print on demand experience, though Merch by Amazon, Redbubble, or Teespring is a plus
• Your own machine or licence. We provide both.

On degrees

We have never asked a designer for a certificate and we are not going to start. Your portfolio and the paid trial decide this, and nothing else does.

Hours and terms

9am to 5pm, six days a week, from our Mirpur DOHS office.

We do not ask for a security deposit, a bond, or a service agreement of any kind, at any stage. If an employer in Bangladesh asks you for money, walk away from it.

About your portfolio

A Behance link, a Drive folder, or your own site all work. We would rather see ten finished production pieces than three award entries.

About your cover letter

Short is fine, and write it yourself in English. Tell us honestly how many finished designs you can produce in a working day. The trial task will show us anyway, and a realistic number is worth more to us here than an impressive one.

How we hire

1. Apply through the form on this page, with your portfolio. That is the part we look at first, so link the work you actually finished rather than the piece whose idea you like most.
2. If you are shortlisted, we contact you by both email and phone with a date and time within 7 days.
3. A paid trial task: two or three designs against a real brief. Paid because it is real work, and it is the part that decides this role.
4. Come to our Mirpur DOHS office and meet us face to face. We tell you the outcome, and if it is a yes we agree your salary in that conversation. You will not be left guessing where in the range you landed.

Compensation

BDT 16,000 – 25,000 / month

For this role the portfolio decides the number. Show us production work you actually finished and we will talk about the top of the range.
